I have been involved with music off and on my whole life. Over the past decade or so I have focused on hand drumming. My first drumming experience was in school bands, and later regular bands with a drum kit.
When I discovered hand drums, djembe, doumbek, bodhran and other percussion, I was hooked! Ever since then I’ve been in numerous drum circles, leading some or just participating. The sound of the drum spoke to the rhythm of my heart and I fell in love with it’s tones and drones.
In addition I have the good fortune to meet other musicians and especially vocalists. Lynda Johnson was kind enough to write music and sing the lyrics found in my book Blood and Bane. Below you can see the lyrics and hear the song!

Fly above the highest peak. Soar through the deepest valley.
Watch the land with amber eyes.
From the mountains of Arydd.
This is where the heart of the Dragon lies
Gaze upon the land with amber eyes.
The land and the Dragon are one.
Borne of the land.
And live in the skies.
Gaze upon the land with amber eyes.
Gaze upon the land with amber eyes.
An ancient code, one that is all
Follow your honor and tell us your tale.
From the distant seas, to the mountains high.
This is your kingdom, let the land not fail.
Gaze upon the land with amber eyes.
The land and the Dragon are one.
Borne of the land.
Live in the skies.
Gaze upon the land with amber eyes.
Gaze upon the land with amber eyes.
And when the second moon rises.
Its glorious and final time.
Take me with you to that far off land.
Where we may live forever, your heart and mine.
Gaze upon the land with amber eyes.
The land and the Dragon are one.
Borne of the land.
Live in the skies.
Gaze upon the land with amber eyes.
Gaze upon the land with amber eyes.
Dragon with the amber eyes
